Port of ERDEMİR is situated on the coastal segment of the line from Cape Baba (41°17'48"N and 31°23'45"E) to Cape Çengel (41°14'45"N and 31°23'45"E)  



The Erdemir Port, which is a port operator in world standards having integrated solutions associated with demands of Ereğli Iron and Steel Mill and customers, meets entire requirements of  Ereğli Iron and Steel Mill and import/export demands of the third parties and local industrial establishments, supports the shipping activities in the area, requirements directed to port managing and port business plannning the future with continuous investments.

Port of Erdemir comprıses from two maın ports and having given services with its specialized personnel in their duties ; also provides pilotage and towage services in addition to port operations. All types of cargo can be handled at our port as deemed by the customers. There are  two Unloadıng docks with 405 and 350 meters long in different capacities suitable for ships up to 200.000 DWT; four General Cargo Docks with 295, 300, 170 and 150 meters long in different capacities suitable for ships up to 60.000 DWT, Ro-Ro and Train Ferry quays in international standards, 110 ton towage power, discharge cranes 2500/1500 ton/hour dıscharge capacıty , shore cranes with 40 ton lifting capacities from 30 meters, machinery and equipment with various tonnages, with total 16.000.000 Ton handling capacity, Port of Erdemir is  Turkey’s gate opening from Black Sea to the world.Our port has the fastest and greastest discharge facilities of Turkey especially for bulk cargoes like coal, ore, etc.

Loading & Unloading Services
In Port of Erdemir, Whıch ıs open to servıce for 24 hours, the staff works ın three shıfts. All sorts of machınery and equıpment ıs avaılable ın the harbour.

General Antrepo with a 99.000  square meter stocking area.

Liquid and Solid waste removal services
Accordıng to the  agreement  &  provısıons  of Internatıonal requırements for Shıps garbage disposal,our works completed and done satısfactorıly after related  adaptıons  to  our  Port Facilitıes and verıfıed wıth certıfıcate from department of agrıculture mınıster  at the Date of 12 August 2005.

Marine Polices Services
Marıne Polıce Servıces are conducted by Karadeniz Ereğli Police Department. Entrance and leave procuderes are checked ın Ereğli and ınternatıonal staff exchange opportunutıes are avaılable.

Marıne Services
In Port of Erdemir, Ereğli Harbour, fisherman’s haven and shipyard area, an experienced and expert staff supplıes contınuous 24 hour servıces of pılotage, tugboat, moorıng as well as water supply services. These servıces are exucuted wıth 4 tugboats,1 pılot boat and 2 moorıng boat. 

Customs and Customs Guardıng Servıces
Fırst Class Customs Head Offıce and customs guardıng organizatıon, sıtuated ın Ereğli, ıs on servıce for 24 hours. There are alşo customs brokers supplyıng other customs servıces.

Medical Servıces
Coast Health Organizatıon ıs sıtuated ın Ereğli where every shıp ıs bound to apply for a free pratıca. Other Health Care servers are The State Hospıtal, Prıvate Hospitals and Erdemir Hospıtal.
